The steam wand can also be uséd to dispense hot water for tea and cocoa. Further refinement of your coffee is offered by the flow restrictor dial between brew spouts. To brew with even taller cups, the brew spouts can be removed for over 6 of clearance. Coffee is ground fresh for each drink by a pair of durable ceramic burrs with 15 unique grind settings. The bypass doser also allows you to fill the brew unit directly with pre-ground coffee and is perfect for brewing decaf in a pinch. The ample water reservoir holds up to 50.7oz and the bean hopper holds 10.58oz respectively; You can prepare up to 11 drinks before emptying the internal dreg drawer and the monitored drip tray has a capacity of 31.5oz. For milk drinks you can also specify the amount of milk uséd. The strength setting can also be manually overridden on a per drink basis by using the aroma button located on the front of the machine. This also allows you to brew using pre-ground coffee via the bypass doser.

The Babila can prepare the following drinks at the touch of a button. X2 beverages are prepared by pressing the button twice. The Babila will grind and brew two drinks consecutively. For additional refinement of your drink, the flow adjustment dial located in the brew spouts allows you to restrict or increase the flow of water through the grounds. Use an increased flow for espresso lungo and coffees and a more restricted flow for crema rich ristretto and espresso.

The Babila has a dedicated steam boiler to produce steam and hot water instantly. The auto frothing carafe can be uséd to produce specialty milk drinks at the touch of a button and is certified by the independent German VDE institute for its hygienic performance. A separate steaming wand can be uséd to manually froth milk in a pitcher for even greater control over texture and temperature. The steam wand can also be uséd to dispense hot water for tea and hot cocoa. Coffee is ground fresh with a pair of ceramic burrs for increased precision and minimal heat transfer.

With 15 unique grind settings you can dial in the perfect grind to suit your exact preferences. The water reservoir holds to 50.7oz and can be removed from the machine for easy refilling.

The bean hopper features an aroma preservation lid and can store up to 10.58oz of whole bean coffee. When installed, the AquaClean water filter (NOT included) eliminates the need for descaling for up to 5000 cups depending on water hardness.
